In 2021, there were approximately 73,448 refugees residing in Mexico, up from just over 28,000 more cases reported the year prior. The number of refugees hosted by the Latin American country has multiplied in the last few years, mainly due to the increasing number of Venezuelans, Haitians and Central Americans migrating to Mexico.
